Simplifying the Management of MRV

The Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) regulation becomes fully effective on 1 January 2018.

The regulation requires ship owners and operators to annually monitor, report and verify CO2 emissions for vessels larger than 5,000 GT arriving or departing from any EU port.

What MRV means to you

SpecTec has launched an MRV software management solution with an EU MRV IT System Certification (through Verifavia Shipping) for Reporting.  This enables you to manage the data and monitoring requirements for the regulation that include:

  • Port of departure/port of arrival, including the date/hour of departure/arrival
  • Amount of emission factor for each type of fuel consumed in total
  • CO2 emitted
  • Distance travelled
  • Time spent at sea
  • Cargo carried
