SpecTec launches AMOS web app enabling approval of purchase orders from any digitally enabled device

Given that many decision makers are working from home and remote locations during these unprecedented times, SpecTec continues to work closely with its customers to build new technology solutions to assist their business processes during these market conditions. Our Product Development team at SpecTec have been busy developing a new a web-based app which makes approving purchase orders (PO's) simple and easy.

Our web-based solution is device independent and user-friendly allowing users to review all pending orders from any internet connected device, ensuring that supply chains are not delayed by PO’s stacking up awaiting approval.

The web-based app is designed to link with AMOS Business Suite (ABS) v9.3 onwards and Enterprise Management Suite (EMS) v7.2 onwards procurement module, which is a fully integrated part of the fleet management software system

The buyer initiates the process using ABS or EMS application based on a variety of parameters to be visible to the remote user including but not limited to:

  • Order type/number,
  • Order details and line items inc. quantity,
  • Supplier Info,
  • Unit price and cost code,
  • Associated vessel.

The designated approver receives an email notification directing them to the approval solution. Remote users can then:

  • Review the orders, line items and priority of goods and services,
  • Review detailed breakdown costs and if budget is available for the purchase,
  • Approve, reject, or comment on the PO.

All from the comfort of their web enabled devices.
